There are three ways on how to  insert video into powerpoint:

Direct Play Video

This broadcast method is to pre-prepared video file as a movie file directly into the slide, the method is the simplest, most intuitive way, using this method to video file into the slide, after, PowerPoint only a simple [pause] and [continue to play] control, and no other action buttons for more options. So this method is particularly suitable for PowerPoint for beginners, the following are the specific steps:

1. Run the PowerPoint program, open the video files need to insert the slide.

2. Move your mouse to the menu bar, click one of the “Insert” option from the drop-down menu to open the implementation of the “Insert a movie file” command.

3. In the ensuing pop-up file selection dialog will be pre-prepared video file selected, and click [Add] button, so that video files can be inserted into the slide.

4. To use the mouse to select video file, and move it to the appropriate location, and then click directly on-screen prompts [Play] button to play video, or select the auto-play mode.

5. During playback, you can move the mouse into the video window, click click, the video will be able to pause playback. If you want to continue playing, and then mouse click click.

Insert the control to play video

This method is to insert a video file into the slide as a control, and then by modifying the control properties to achieve the purpose of playing video. Using this method, and a wide choice of operation buttons, the player process can be completely on my own control, more convenient and flexible. This method is more suitable for PowerPoint courseware pictures, text, video, on the same page situation.

1. Run the PowerPoint program, open the video files need to insert the slide.

2. Move your mouse to the menu bar, click one of the “View” option, and from an open drop-down menu select “Control Toolbox”, and then from the lower-level menu, select [Other Controls] button.

3. In the following control options open interface, select “Windows Media Player” option, and then move the mouse to PowerPoint editing area, draw a rectangle the right size, then the region will automatically be turned into Windows Media Player playback interface .

4. To use the mouse to select the player interface, and then right-click the shortcut from the pop-up menu, select “Properties” command to open the media player interface, the “Properties” window.

5. In the “Properties” window, in the “File Name” entry is set at the correct input needed in the video file is inserted into the slide path and file name details. So that when you open the slide, you can through the [Play] control button to play the specified collection of videos.

6. In order to insert a video file to better organize together with the slides, you can also modify the “Properties” set the interface control bar, play, and video properties of the slider bar position.

7. During playback, you can through the media player in the [player], [Stop], [pause] and [adjust volume] and so the video control buttons.

Insert Object to play video

This method is the video file as an object inserted into the slide, with the above two methods is different is that it can be arbitrary choice of the actual needs of broadcast video clips, and then play. Implementation steps are:

1. Open the need to insert a video file of the slides, click the “Insert / Object” command, open the “Insert Object” dialog box.

2. Select the “New” option, then the corresponding “object type” is set column at selected “video clip” option, click the [OK] button .

3. PowerPoint automatically switch to the video property state, the implementation of the “Insert Clip / Windows Video” command, would be pre-prepared video files inserted into the slide.

4. Implementation of the “Edit / Options” command, open the option box, set the video in which the need for loop, or whether you want to back after playing and so on, click [OK] to return to the video property settings interface.

5. Click the toolbar video [entry point] button, and [a point] button to reset the video file playback starting point and end point, so as to achieve arbitrary choices need to play video clips purpose.

6. With the mouse left-click a blank area of the interface is set, you can withdraw from the video settings interface, and thus return to the slide editor of the state. You can also use the Preview command, check the video editing effects.

After doing that you can  insert video into powerpoint.
